RENOVATE MAPLE HALL
PERTINENT FACTS
Maple Hall was constructed in 1964 with an additional wing added in 1965. The building is showing signs associated with deferred maintenance. The piping systems have deteriorated resulting in numerous leaks and service problems. All domestic water lines and drainage and waste piping must be replaced. The building must be brought into ADA compliance and this will be accomplished by modifications to three resident rooms, interior and exterior doors, ramping, public restrooms and adding automatic openers to exterior doors. The hall ceilings will be removed to facilitate the plumbing work and will be replaced, along with more energy efficient lighting. The fire alarm system will be upgraded to meet code. The chilled water coils in the air handlers will be replaced and a new CSI energy management system installed for both increased occupant comfort and for energy efficiency. The exterior brick and stone will be cleaned and sealed.
