The first phase of a new state-of-the-art Center for Advanced Research
and Technology (known as CART) at UNT was launched Nov. 10 with U.S.
Rep. Michael Burgess' announcement of a $3.1 million appropriation
in the 2004 Defense Appropriations Bill.

UNT IDs serve as debit and ATM cards

UNT
employees and students with Wells Fargo bank accounts can use their
Mean Green ID card, which features Scrappy on the front, as both a
debit and ATM card.

E-trans offers many benefits
Since
September, UNT's newly designed e-trans system has reduced the
traffic clogging up Denton thoroughfares by an estimated 3,600 cars
per day, according to Joe Richmond, associate director of UNT transportation
services.

toy and food drive sponsored by the human resources office continues

focuses on daycare
Staff
Council members learned of the continuing plans for daycare at
the Liberty Christian School site, discussed a means of enforcing
and possibly modifying the current UNT smoking policies, and
discussed changes in the policies for bicycling on campus during
their Nov. 5 meeting in Marquis Hall.
