Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Analysis

The purpose of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Analysis is to support the research needs of graduate students and faculty within the College of Education. Its overall goal is to improve the quantity and quality of research produced by faculty and students.

CIRA works closely with graduate programs to ensure graduate students are well prepared to understand and critically analyze research at the master's level and to create quality research at the doctoral level. CIRA also works collaboratively with the offices of the dean and the associate dean for outreach, research and professional development; the four college departments; coordinators of the various graduate programs housed in the college; and the graduate school to assure that the research needs of the faculty and students are addressed.

The center works to address the needs of College of Education faculty and students by working with graduate students involved in thesis and dissertation research; assisting faculty and students in research design, analysis of research data, and preparation and review of scholarly manuscripts with the potential outcome of increasing the college's research productivity; and providing data analysis and evaluation services to various funded projects within the college.
