Tom Malone to perform at UNT Nov. 20

Tom 'Bones' Malone ('69) is returning to his roots to perform with the One O'Clock Lab Band during its annual fall concert Nov. 20. Tom Malone

As a student, Malone played lead trombone in the One O'Clock Lab Band, lead trumpet in the Two O'Clock Lab Band, and other instruments in other bands. Today, he plays 13 instruments professionally.

His current, most notable gig is with the horn section of the CBS Orchestra on the Late Show With David Letterman. He recently performed with the band at the Concert for New York, which was organized by Paul McCartney. His career has featured many similar performances, ranging from the opening ceremonies for the Olympics in Atlanta to President Clinton's 50th birthday party.

Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for all others. Call 369-7802 or 565-3743 to purchase tickets.
