Pohl launches e-newsletter to communicate with UNT alumni, friends

Beginning this month, UNT President Norval Pohl is reaching out to graduates and friends of the university through their inbox rather than their mailbox. Pohl is launching North Texas Insider, an e-mail newsletter full of short, fun, interesting facts about UNT.

Department of Veterans Affairs chooses UNT business college to develop cyber security

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs awarded a two-year contract of $978,000 to the UNT College of Business Administration to help establish a cyber security project management office within the VA.

Contract review process hits new high help needed to keep up with trend

According to UNT policy, all proposed contracts for goods and services must be reviewed by the Office of the Vice Chancellor and General Counsel before they can be executed.

Interim title holders named to positions permanently

For the past two years, Joneel Harris and Lynn McCreary have served as interim associate vice president for enrollment management and interim registrar, respectively. UNT administrators decided to make their appointments permanent as of Sept. 1.

Student development faculty, staff have new way to demonstrate UNT pride

In connection with Friday Pride Day wearing green on Fridays to show support for UNT the Staff Development Committee within the Division of Student Development has implemented TGIF, a spirit contest that stands for Think Green, It's Friday.

Campus Catalog settles into new location

If you can't find the J.C. Penney Campus Catalog, just look around the corner from its old location on the third floor of the University Union Campus Catalog is now in the former location of Wells Fargo Bank, which now occupies the space that once housed Campus Catalog.
