Halloween is approaching and preparations are being made for UNT's annual Halloween Costume Contest benefiting the Texas State Employee Charitable Campaign. The annual fundraiser takes place Oct. 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Eagle Student Services Center, Room 255.
Faculty and staff are invited to participate in and attend the event, which also includes skit performances. Contestants will collect donations from the audience to benefit the Texas SECC. There is no fee to enter the contest. Participants need to arrive at 1:10 p.m. to register and set up any audio or visual equipment they may need. "The Halloween Costume Contest is always really fun and entertaining for everyone. Contestants get more creative each year, and each year more people show up to see what all the fuss is about," says Tammy Sprabery, university information operator and co-chair of Quality Service Work Group, the committee that organized the event.
