The Texas State Employee Charitable Campaign is gearing up for another successful campaign as it provides state employees with a simple way to make voluntary, tax-deductible contributions to more than 400 different charitable organizations.

Fall enrollment up slightly from last year


According to the unofficial headcount after the 2004 fall census date, the UNT student population has climbed to 31,304 — an increase of 239 students or approximately 0.8 percent from last fall.

UNT seeking nominations for alumni awards


The nomination process for UNT's 2005 alumni awards is underway. Award recipients will be recognized at the Alumni Awards Dinner at the Gateway Center April 8, 2005, at 6:30 p.m. Faculty and staff members who want to nominate alumni or friends of the university must complete a nomination form and return it to the Office of Development by Oct. 15 at 5 p.m.

Following the Mean Green on the small screen

If you've been following the Mean Green football team this season but can't make it to all of the remaining games in person, you're in luck. Four North Texas games will be televised on the Sun Belt-ESPN Regional Network in October and November, and a fifth game will air nationally on ESPN2 in November.

Halloween costume contest is only a few weeks away


Halloween is approaching and preparations are being made for UNT's annual Halloween Costume Contest benefiting the Texas State Employee Charitable Campaign. The annual fundraiser takes place Oct. 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Eagle Student Services Center, Room 255.
