Several UNT staff members were honored at the annual Staff Convocation Sept. 29 in the University Union Lyceum.

Receiving Staff Contribution Awards of $1,000 were:

• West Gilbreath, UNT Police, Parking and Transportation
• Olga Greico, International Studies and Programs
• Jennifer McLendon, University Relations, Communications and Marketing
• Maxima Resendiz, Facilities
• Rory Rivoire, Computing and Information Technology Center
• Kevin Roden, Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science
• Andrea Slater, Department of Public Administration
• Nicole Trower, UNT Police, Parking and Transportation
• Carol Wilkinson, University Union
• Sue Young, Faculty Senate.

In addition, Kathy Fischer, University Union, was presented with the UNT Community Award.

The recipients of Outstanding Staff Awards and Outstanding Department Awards, who were named throughout the year, were also recognized at the convocation.

President Norval Pohl made a presentation on the challenges and opportunities UNT faces over the next several years, and Richard Rafes, senior vice president for administration, gave a presentation about growth and upcoming projects at UNT
