Staff Council elects officers

The UNT Staff Council elected its new officers during the council’s first meeting of the academic year Sept. 8. See the chart for officers’ names and the names of additional individuals who will serve on the Staff Council Executive Committee.

In other business, the council:

• Voted to change the regular Staff Council meeting date from the first Wednesday of every other month to the first Monday of every other month, starting in November.

• Was asked by Mary Finley, new Staff Council chair, to submit the names of individuals who could fill a position on the council in the office support work group.

• Heard a presentation about the Texas State Employee Charitable Campaign from Sharon Norman, SECC co-chair.

The Staff Council meets again Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. in the University Union, Room 418.
