UNT new scoreboard
The new scoreboard system, seen on the coliseum floor, was installed in August. The new system features two video screens to show replays and live events, plus four corner boards to display game statistics.

Regents meet in Dallas

The UNT Board of Regents met Aug. 24-25 at the UNT System Center at Dallas for its regular quarterly meeting. It was the first time the Board of Regents had been to the System Center since it opened last spring.

Clinical Digital Library gives doctors information online

Dr. Martha Dodson draws most of her patients from a transient and low-income population in Tarrant County.

For many of them it's difficult to make even a single visit to the doctor, so to expedite diagnoses, Dodson uses the Clinical Digital Library (CDL) at UNT. The Internet database provides quick access to medical diagnosis, treatment and prevention information.

UNT Volunteer Center draws campus and community members together

Faculty and staff members and students looking for opportunities to volunteer locally can receive assistance from the UNT Volunteer Center.

Opened earlier this year, the center serves as a clearinghouse and information resource to potential volunteers as well as agencies, organizations and campus departments that need volunteers.

Imagine intelligent computer software programs that have the ability to replace people as computer network managers.

Now you can stop imagininga UNT professor and a group of graduate students in the Department of Computer Sciences have created these independent programs called "intelligent mobile agents." Currently they're perfecting this software, which will be able to think, work and reproduce on its own.

Ben E. Keith continues scholarship with $6,700 gift

Floyd Warner of Ben E. Keith Co. has donated $6,700 to the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management. The gift continues the company's 15 years of support to maintain the Ben E. Keith and the Hospitality Board of Governors scholarships.
