Student group working toward new health and wellness center

Determining that the time has come for a state-of-the-art health and wellness center, students formed a volunteer committee this summer to work for the approval of an additional $19 per semester added to the medical services fee to build such a facility.

UNT scholarships benefit from eBay


What do you get when an avid eBay seller also "bleeds green"? Money for UNT student scholarships.

UNT has joined almost 3,000 nonprofit organizations registered with MissionFish, a non- profit service of the Points of Light Foundation that has worked with eBay since 2003 to assist nonprofits in raising funds through online sales and auctions.

Ticket changes at Fouts Field this fall


Faculty and staff may notice some changes at the gates of Fouts Field for the 2004 football season. The UNT athletic department will now scan tickets for admittance into the stadium instead of allowing fans to simply show their tickets or ticket stubs to ticket takers.

UNT receives $450,000 in research funding


Three UNT researchers were recently awarded a total of $450,000 for chemical research from the Welch Foundation. Oliver Chyan, associate professor of chemistry; Paolo Grigolini, professor of physics; and Paul Marshall, professor of chemistry, each received annual grants of $50,000 to conduct chemistry research through May 2007.

Lab specials available for faculty and staff at Student Health and Wellness Center

This fall, faculty and staff can undergo three lab screenings at the Student Health and Wellness Center at a reduced rate. Screenings will be available once a month, September through December.
