Lab specials available for faculty and staff at Student Health and Wellness Center

This fall, faculty and staff can undergo three lab screenings at the Student Health and Wellness Center at a reduced rate. Screenings will be available once a month, September through December. You can have any of the three screenings performed during any of the four dates listed in the table.

The three screenings are:

• Lipid profile — requires a 6-hour fast prior to the screening and costs $50. Tests cholesterol; triglycerides; glucose levels; kidney, liver and heart functions; and potassium and calcium levels.
• TSH test — requires no fasting and costs $30. Detects the thyroid's optimal functioning condition.
• CBC and SMAC test — requires an 8- to 10-hour fast and costs $20. Screens for anemia and tests cholesterol; triglycerides; glucose levels; kidney, liver and heart functions; and potassium and calcium levels.
