Chinese cuisine served in Campus Chat Food Court

For faculty and staff members who haven't eaten at the University Union lately, the Campus Chat Food Court menu just got a little bigger.

Since Aug. 26, Campus Chat patrons have been enjoying Chinese food from Jump: Asian Express Cuisine. In conjunction with Culinaire International, the company that manages the Campus Chat, Jump has been offering a variety of Chinese dishes.

The Jump cooking station is located by the grill on the first floor and serves dishes featuring beef, chicken or vegetables.

"It's a wonderful product," says Mark Luna, director of food services. "It's consistently good, and other campuses I've talked to rave about it. It's excellent quality and has no MSG."

The three items available every day are General Tso's Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken and a vegetarian dish. Jump plans to rotate three entrees of beef, chicken and vegetables each week, such as Hunan Chicken, Pepper Steak and Asian Stir-Fry.

Prices range from $3.99 to $4.79 for entrees with white rice.

Every day the restaurant will offer noodle bowls, which come with beef or chicken; vegetable or Southwest egg rolls; and combo meals, which include an entree and an egg roll.

"We did a survey of our customers and found that Asian food was at the top of their requests," Luna says. "And we expect this product to do very well."
