Food, services conveniently located in UNT's University Union

If you are new to UNT, or if you haven't visited the University Union in a while, the facility provides several food choices and handy services all in one convenient location.

For a quick meal, visit the Campus Chat on level 1 for a salad, deli-style sandwich or traditional fast-food options. For those in need of a morning caffeine fix or sugar rush, the Corner on level 2 provides Starbucks Gourmet Coffee and pastries as well as sandwiches, salads and hot dogs.

Also on level 2, Avesta provides a casual dining setting with a quiet atmosphere where patrons can enjoy a unique and healthy meal. Lunches are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Catering needs can also be met in the Union. Verde! Reservations and Scheduling, located on level 2, can take care of any event involving food, including meetings, luncheons, catered events, wedding receptions or conferences.

In addition to food services, the University Union houses Eagle Images Copy Center and Design Works, both located on level 2. Eagle Images has full- and self-serve copiers, transparencies and resume paper. Design Works provides a graphics department that produces laser-printed fliers and certificates, banners and brochures.

For those running short on money or who need change for a dollar, the Union provides automated teller machines from Bank One, Denton Area Teachers Credit Union and Wells Fargo on level 1, a full-service Wells Fargo bank on level 3 and a change machine in the Syndicate, on level 1.

Faculty and staff can even do a little shopping in the Union. The J.C. Penney catalog outlet, also known as Campus Catalog, is located on level 3. Across from the outlet is the Information Center, home to lost and found items and a box office where tickets for area attractions can be purchased. On level 2 is the UNT Bookstore, offering spirit and gift items and more.

A full-service post office is also located in the Union on level 2, and the Union Gallery on level 3 features the work of UNT artists.

The University Union building is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. For general information about hours of operation of specific areas within the Union, call 565-3805 or visit the Union's web site at www.unt.edu/union.
