Survey Research Center

The Survey Research Center, organized in 1992, is housed in the School of Community Service. The mission of the center is to provide high-quality research services in a timely and cost-effective manner. The center conducts applied survey projects primarily for state and local government agencies, as well as for nonprofit organizations. It also has worked extensively with UNT faculty members in the design and administration of survey research projects.

The center employs a full-time professional staff of seven people who have both formal training and practical experience in all aspects of survey research.

The center offers a complete survey package, including research design, sample design and selection, instrument design, data collection and analysis, and report preparation and presentation. The center also offers its services individually, and may only serve as the data collection agent of a projectif needed. Telephone surveys are administered through the center's 36-station Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing system. All telephone surveys are conducted by trained professional interviewers. The center's mail processing system has the capacity to handle mail surveys of any size.
