Note: In fall 1998 there were 2,730 new first-time in
college students (new from high school), of whom 2,601 were enrolled full-time. As stated
above, for all first-time freshmen and ethnic minority first-time
freshmen enrolled full-time in fall 1998, the return rates in fall 1999 were 69.3% and
66.6%. For comparison purposes, from fall 1991 to fall 1992 the return rates were 69.9%
and 69.4%, from fall 1992 to fall 1993 they were 68.7% and 73.5%, and from fall 1993 to
fall 1994 they were 69.8% and 72.3%, from fall 1994 to fall 1995 they were 68.7% and
69.8%, and from fall 1995 to fall 1996 they were 69.6% and 72.9%, and from fall 1996 to
fall 1997 were 70.5% and 75.6%, and from fall 1997 to fall 1998 they were 67.2% and 68.1%. |
