Definitions and comments: The “term when new to UNT” is a fall semester and, unlike the NCAA reports, does not include new summer students who returned in the fall. Graduation was tracked through summer 2000, and students were counted as graduating within a given academic year if they graduated in December, May, or August of that academic year. The selected time frames were based on the logic that a new sophomore transfer graduating within 3 years or a new junior transfer graduating within 2 years can be considered equivalent to a new freshman graduating within 4 years.
