UNT's "Team Web" is established as a task force to direct the development of the University Campus Wide Information System (CWIS) in accordance with the UNT Web Publishing Policy . Team Web shall serve as an administrative, decision-making group, whose actions should always reflect a broad, University-wide point of view. Team Web reports to the University's Information Resources Council (IRC), but also acts directly as appropriate. Meetings of the Team Web will be called by the Chairperson on an as-needed basis; meeting times shall be publicized to encourage participation by all interested persons.

CHARGE

Team Web will strive to promote cooperation, coordination, and effective use of information technology for the advancement of UNT's presence on the Internet. To this end, Team Web members shall be responsible for leadership, planning, and coordination of the construction and maintenance of UNT's CWIS. Specific tasks shall include

• Designing the layout of the primary- and second-level "pages" on the University's official World Wide Web site, to promote a clear organization of information in a consistent presentation style;
• Establishing standards for the structure and maintenance of UNT's CWIS and its coordination with other electronic information resources at UNT;
• Supporting the conversion of relevant printed materials to electronic form;
• Facilitating the publishing of new materials that promote the interests of the University as a whole;
• Designating ownership of various university information;
• Suggesting additional (or revisions to) policies and procedures needed to effectively maintain CWIS information that serves the mission of the University.

COMPOSITION

Team Web members shall have voting privileges, and issues will be settled by a majority vote of the membership when necessary. Membership shall consist of

• One faculty representative, designated by the Faculty Senate
• A representative designated by the Enrollment Management Committee
• A representative designated by the University Libraries
• A representative designated by Public Affairs and Information Service
• A representative designated by the Administrative Program Group
• A representative designated by the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs for Distance Education
• Director of Academic Computing, serving as Chairperson
