Intensive English Language Institute


IELI Class Schedules

Students are assigned to a morning, afternoon, or split schedule for their four hours of core classes. These classes last for one term (eight weeks).  Some students have a "split" schedule. With a split schedule, students attend a core class in the morning and the second core class in the afternoon.

 Sample Core Class Schedules

Morning Schedule

8:30 - 10:10 Communication class
10:10 - 10:30 Break
10:30 - 12:10 Writing/Grammar class
Afternoon Schedule
1:15 - 2:55 Communication class
2:55 - 3:15 Break
3:15 - 4:55 Writing/Grammar class
Split Schedule (Two different levels)
8:30 or 10:30 class
12:10 - 1:15 lunch
1:15 or 3:15 class

Additional required Classes
Students also have a multi-media language lab class or an Academic Skills class two to three hours each week. Students must attend all classes and do the assigned work in these classes.
