Course Description: the basic elements will be reading, discussion of the reading, lectures, student essays based on reviewing video survivor testimony, and examinations.
Grades: 12 to 14 pop quizzes (will mainly concern assigned readings and include material from lectures and discussions, no make-ups, drop two lowest grades)-- 50%, discussion – 10%, paper (750 words minimum, typed, double spaced, corrected, based on viewing two video-taped interviews of survivors available from the UNT Media Library [approx. during the weeks nine to thirteen] or directly from the library of the Dallas Memorial Center for Holocaust Studies)—20%, final examiniation (one match up test and three essays chosen randomly from twelve which will be presented and discussed during the last four or five weeks of class)—20%.
