Air de Patrocle: "Je cours asseurer ma memoire"
In this rousing aria Patrocle, friend of the Greek hero Achille, announces his willingness to engage Hector, the renowned Trojan warrior, in battle.
| Je cours asseurer ma memoire, | I hasten to ensure how I will be remembered, |
| J'ai tous les sentiments, et les soins des Heros. | I have all the feelings and cares of a Hero. |
| Non, les jours le plus doux passez dans le repos, | No! The sweetest days spent in repose |
| Ne valent pas un jour marqué par la victoire. | Are not worth a single day marked by victory. |
