Do you want a better understanding of global issues? Are you interested in various religions and their significance to society? Do you like to think critically about big questions? If so, you should pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies at the University of North Texas.

We provide the only Religious Studies degree program at a public university in the region. All of the religions examined are treated equally, encouraging open, thought provoking dialogue among students and faculty members. In addition, you gain a thorough understanding of the beliefs, practices and histories of multiple religious traditions and can hone your oral and written communication skills.
The program’s interdisciplinary approach allows you to focus your studies on a particular area of interest. Courses are available in a wide variety of disciplines including philosophy, English, history, anthropology, sociology and many others.

We encourage you to fulfill the graduation requirements for the Texas Recommended or Distinguished Achievement Program or the equivalent in high school.
In your junior year, take the SAT or the ACT and have your scores sent to UNT.
In your senior year, apply for admission at www.applytexas.org by March 1 and request that your high school transcript be sent to the UNT admissions office.
