Introduction To Neurofeedback
(June 2009) Workshop/Course (New!)
The UNT Neurotherapy Lab will be opening a graduate level course* conducted concurrently with a workshop for licensed mental and medical healthcare providers who want to acquire foundation knowledge and introductory skills in EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback). This will be our second offering of this popular workshop for 2009. The workshop/course provides introductory information on EEG biofeedback to practicing professionals who want to add neurofeedback to their therapy/counseling skills, as well as to graduate students in the behavioral sciences and education. Daily hands-on training is provided in small learning teams under the direction of an experienced neurofeedback provider. The workshop/course will cover the 36 contact hours of blueprint knowledge required by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (B.C.I.A.) for certification in EEG biofeedback.
Important Note: The formal course agenda is not currently available; however, a downloadable agenda will be posted to this website as soon as it is completed. Please feel free to contact us regarding anticipated workshop training topics.
Required Reading: Participants will need to prepare prior to attending since this workshop is presented in an intensive format. All participants will need to have read the workshop textbook: Demos, J. (2005). Getting started with neurofeedback. New York: WW Norton.
