Music performance/oboe major from Plano East High School

UNT ties: My parents, Phil Arbolino (’81 M.B.A.) and Linda Samaj Arbolino (’80 M.M.E.), are alumni.

Favorite memory from freshman year: Playing oboe in the orchestra for Mozart’s Don Giovanni.

Favorite thing to do on campus: Attend recitals.

Most surprising thing about freshman year: How well I got along with my roommate.

Best thing about having a roommate: There’s always someone to do things with.

Missed most about home: My mom and my two pet cats.

Favorite professor: Dr. [Charles] Veazey, my oboe professor, because he’s always willing to help you.

Favorite classes: Music Theory and Orchestra Ensemble.

Favorite spot on campus: The Lyric Theater.

Favorite band: The New York Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.

Favorite book: Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.

Favorite way to take a break from studying: Practicing my oboe.
