Department of Public Administration Abraham D. Benavides Dr. Benavides completed his Ph.D. at Cleveland State University and joined the public administration faculty in the fall of 2002. His areas of expertise are local government, governmental management, human resource management, and diversity issues in the public sector. Currently, his research involves Hispanic city managers, local government best practices for ethnic communities, and legal and management issues in human resources. He previously served as an adjunct instructor at Cleveland State and Kent State Universities. Prior to coming to UNT, Dr. Benavides worked for county government in Ohio as an accreditation coordinator for a human service agency Contact information:
