Violinist, violist and conductor Pinchas Zukerman, flutist Sir James Galway, jazz legend Dave Brubeck, theorist Allen Forte and composer Krzysztof Penderecki are among the internationally recognized conductors, composers, artists and scholars who present master classes and lectures, and have residencies at UNT.

The college annually hosts more than 50 renowned guest artists who illustrate new perspectives and insights of music.

Students have had the opportunity to work with members of the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the New York Metropolitan Opera, and the United States Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force bands.
