03:59 Public Intoxication Arrest - a UNT police officer checked out with a disturbance, 1800 W. Eagle, UNT lot 29, Denton. Contact was made with nonstudent Kevin Maduka, who was intoxicated, arrested, and transported to the city of Denton jail.

03:36 Possession of Alcoholic Beverage (Where Prohibited) - A UNT police officer contacted student Nicholas Dietrich, 950 W. Sycamore, UNT lot 55, Denton. Dietrich was issued a municipal citation and released from the scene. An offense report was completed.

02:18 Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While License Invalid Arrest - A UNT police officer initiated a traffic stop, 900 Bernard, Denton. The driver, non-student Jeffrey Oconnor 06/09/93, was intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He was arrested and transported to the Denton County jail.

02:21 Indecent Exposure - A male complainant reported an indecent exposure involving another male outside of the building, 1704 W. Mulberry, Environmental Education Science Technology Building, Denton. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the suspect. An offense report was completed.


Friday July 25, 2014

18:18 Criminal Trespass (Habitation), Evading Arrest/Detention, Resisting Arrest/Search/Transportation, Possession of Marijuana < 2 oz. Arrest - A UNT police officer contacted a subject standing near a vehicle that was emanating the strong smell of burning marijuana, 701 Fort Worth Dr., the Grove, Denton. The officer attempted to identify the individual and wait for secondary police units, when the suspect fled from the scene on foot. The suspect fled upstairs and entered an apartment, which is not his residence. The UNT officer was able to apprehend the suspect after a short altercation. The officer observed, in plain view, narcotics/ paraphernalia in the apartment. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the location. The original suspect was arrested and transported to the Denton County jail while a follow-up investigation is completed on the apartment.

12:54 Information Report - A complainant reported a suspicious circumstance, 1621 Maple, Maple Hall, Denton. A UNT police officer responded and an information report was completed.

10:11 Credit/Card Abuse, Theft - A complainant reported the theft of a credit card, 1325 W. Sycamore, Denton. The complaint also reported the use of the card at several local establishments. A UNT police officer responded and an offense report was completed.

15:29 Minor Crash - A complainant reported a minor motor vehicle crash between a grounds vehicle and a student’s vehicle, 1717 Maple, Denton. A UNT police officer responded and a state motor vehicle crash report was completed.

14:58 False Alarm/Report - Digital reported a fire alarm, 320 North Texas Blvd., West Hall, Denton. UNT police officers and fire systems responded to the scene. It was determined a fire pull station had been activated illegally. The system was reset and an offense report was completed.

14:41 Criminal Trespass Warning - A UNT police officer checked out with a domestic disturbance, 800 South Ave. B, UNT lot 23, Denton. The domestic was verbal only with no injury. Nonstudent Travis Newman M 06/20/88 was issued a criminal trespass warning for all UNT property and escorted from the scene. An incident report was completed.

14:16 Mental Health Transport - A nonstudent complaint flagged down a UNT police officer, in reference to transport to mental health facility. The individual was furnished a courtesy escort, to voluntarily commit himself at the University Behavioral Health (UBH), Scripture, Denton. An incident report was completed.

12:47 Public Intoxication Arrest, Outside Agency Warrant Arrest -Driving While License Invalid (X2), Ran Stop Sign, Ran Red Light, Public Intoxication - a UNT police officer checked out with an intoxicated subject, 1107 Avenue A, Denton. Nonstudent Christopher Pippin M 02/26/74 was intoxicated and wanted by the Denton Police Department, the Carrollton Police Department, and the Farmers Branch Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the city of Denton jail.

11:58 Welfare Concern - A complainant reported to children on bicycles near the intersection of Avenue C and Chestnut, Denton. UNT police officers responded, contacted the children, contacted the parents, and released the minor children to the parents. There was no emergency concern.

02:57 Public Intoxication Arrest - UNT police officer contacted nonstudent Woodard, Charlie D Jr. M 04/29/85, 500 S. Welch, Denton. Woodard was intoxicated, arrested, and transported to the city of Denton jail.

14:05 Outside Agency Warrant Arrest –speeding (X2), Expired Registration, Fail To Maintain Financial Responsibility, Fail to Report Address Change, Failure To Appear - A UNT police officer initiated a traffic stop, 200 Avenue D, Denton. The driver, non-student Marvin King M 08/24/91 was wanted by the Denton Police Department and the South Lake Police Department. He was arrested and transported to the city of Denton jail.

23:24 Urinating/Defecating in Public - A UNT police officer contacted Evan Richman 08/28/1990, 950 W. Sycamore, UNT lot 55, Denton. Richman was issued a municipal citation and released from the scene. An offense report was completed.

21:35 Outside Agency Warrant Arrest - Disorderly Conduct (Fighting In Public), Alcohol Open Container - A UNT police officer initiated a traffic stop, 900 W. Hickory, Denton. Contact was made with non-student Marcus Gambles 06/18/1990. Gambles was wanted by the Denton Police Department, was arrested, and transported to the city of Denton jail.

16:45 Medical Emergency - A complainant reported a medical emergency stemming from a bicycle accident, 1500 chestnut, UNT lot 1, Denton. A UNT police officer and Denton EMS responded to the scene. The patient was not transported for medical treatment but was given a courtesy ride to her residence.

05:38 UNT PD Warrant Arrest – Duty upon Striking Fixture - UNT student Yixiao Xu surrendered herself on a UNT PD issued warrant, 1700 Wilshire, Sullivant Public Safety Ctr., Denton. She was arrested and transported to the Denton County jail.

02:20 Driving While Intoxicated Arrest - A UNT police officer initiated a traffic stop, 216 Jagoe, Denton. The driver, nonstudent Justin White 9/9/90 was intoxicated, arrested, and transported to the Denton County jail.

16:25 Medical Emergency - A complainant reported a medical emergency, 1413 Maple, Kerr Hall, Denton. A UNT police officer and Denton EMS responded to the scene. The patient was not transported for medical treatment.

13:30 Assist Agency - Major Crash - A UNT police officer checked out with a major motor vehicle crash with injury, Eagle drive/Carroll Blvd., Denton. Denton EMS responded to the scene and the driver was transported for medical treatment. Due to the location of the accident Denton PD completed the crash report and UNT PD provided major traffic control.

12:20 Duty upon Striking Unattended Vehicle - A complainant reported damage to her vehicle while parked and unattended, 1200 S. Bonnie Brae, Denton. A UNT police officer responded and an offense report was completed.
