SUBJECT: CHILDREN OF PRISONERS OF WAR OR PERSONS MISSING IN ACTION-                     (V.T.C.A. SECTION 54.209)

APPLICABILITY: STUDENTS

To qualify, the person must file information with Student Accounting and University Cashiering Services from the United States Department of Defense stating that the parent is classified as a prisoner of war or missing in action. The applicant must be a dependent child, or under the age of 25 and receiving the majority of his/her support from his/her parents.

Under this law, all tuition and mandatory fees are exempted. The student is required to pay the Property Damage Deposit, late fees and any rental fees.
