4.2     ORGANIZATION

The University of North Texas Purchasing and Payment Services Department (PPS) is comprised of the following four divisions:

• Purchasing , Payment and Contract Services;
• HUB Reporting/Entity/Travel;
• HUB Outreach
• Asset Management, (which includes Property & Inventory Control, Central Receiving, Surplus, Customer Service and Office Supply).

Organizationally, the department is a unit of the Controller’s Office. The Director of Purchasing and Payment Services Department and HUB Coordinator leads the department.

Office Supply is under direct supervision of the Material Coordinator and general supervision of the PPS Associate Director for Asset Management.

The Office Supply Center is established to support the various office operations of the University departments by stocking a limited number of commonly used items, primarily copy paper. These items are not available for individuals to purchase for personal use. Phone orders cannot be accepted. Office Supply’s normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Office Supply Center publishes a catalog on a periodic basis on the PPS website @ www.unt.edu/pps

INTERDEPARTMENTAL ORDER (IDO):

The deptid or projid holder or designate must sign the properly completed Interdepartmental Order form requesting goods from Office Supply. Without this signature the Interdepartmental Order (IDO) cannot be processed. The interdepartmental order form is available on the PPS web-site.

The ordering department is responsible for checking the Interdepartment Order (IDO) against the items received and notifying Office Supply within 48 hours of any discrepancy.
