APPLICABILITY: FACULTY AND STAFF The
procedure of payment of a nine-month contract over twelve months is
intended for those employees with a stable income expectation. Any payroll change requested during the year regardless of
the reason may result in termination of the twelve-month payment agreement
at the option of the Controller provided full settlement is made with the
employee and payment reverts to a nine-month basis. An
agreement will be automatically renewed each fiscal year without
submission of a new pay option form.
Any decision to revert to 9-month pay for the following fiscal year
must be submitted in writing to the payroll department on-or-before August
31. The agreement is
irrevocable for one year, and any agreements received after August 31 will
not be honored under any circumstances.
