SUBJECT: PROCEDURES FOR THE RENEWAL OF PROBATIONARY APPOINTMENTS AND THE GRANTING OF TENURE APPLICABILITY: FACULTY AND ACADEMIC 1. Departmental recommendations will be submitted to the office of the appropriate dean and thence with the deans recommendation to the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in strict accord with the dates established in the current administrative calendar and in accord with the schedule set forth in 2.43000. Deans and/or the academic vice president may organize an advisory committee to assist in the review process. 5. Adverse recommendations from the department for tenure or renewal must show written evidence that the faculty member has received copies of the recommendations of the chair and the Promotion and Tenure Committee and has been informed of departmental appeals procedures. Summary reports of such hearings will be included, as well as a copy of current departmental appeals procedures. 7.
