1. University library loan regulations will apply to all library users.

2. Extended loans are available as deemed appropriate by the library administration. The persons receiving this privilege will include all full-time faculty members.

3. All loans may be renewed unless there is a hold or a request that the item be placed on reserve.

4. Library materials are subject to recall after the stated loan period or to immediate call for reserve.

5. All borrowers are responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged library materials.

6. Faculty members are subject to fines only in those instances in which the request for the return or renewal of library materials is ignored.

7. Faculty or staff who leave the employ of the University are required to clear any indebtedness with the library prior to receiving final salary payment.

The original of this policy was approved by action of the Faculty Senate in March and September of 1978, and approved by the President in July and October 1978.
