President's Report 2007 now available
The report showcases UNT's success as a vibrant, student-centered public research university.

President Bataille will attend "UNT in Santa Fe" May 15-18, when various Santa Fe galleries with UNT connections will open their doors for our Weaving Threads of Green Gallery Tours. The galleries will feature the works of alumni Bill Worrell (pictured above) and Jesús Moroles.
Receptions to meet the artists will be scheduled throughout the weekend to celebrate the legacy of artistic excellence at "UNT in Santa Fe."
President Bataille delivers keynote at College Board Forum
President Gretchen M. Bataille delivered the
keynote address to more than 800 educators from Arkansas, Oklahoma,
New Mexico and Texas who met in Frisco at the 2008 Southwestern
Regional Forum of the College Board.
The forum featured sessions about best practices and common concerns
for educational excellence and equity. Topics also included the
changing landscape of education and how educators can successfully
connect more students with colleges and universities.
Faculty Focus: Earl G. Zimmerman
Congratulations to Earl G. Zimmerman, professor
of biological sciences. He recently was awarded the Robert L. Packard
Outstanding Educator Award from the Southwestern Association of
Naturalists. The award is presented to an association member who
has made significant contributions to the understanding of the
plant and animal life of the southwestern United States, Mexico
and Central America through teaching or presenting scientific information
to the general public.
