The answer is c. The Green Brigade Marching Band is made up of 290 students, including music education, performance and jazz majors and a large number of non-music majors who simply enjoy marching band.

This group, which was honored with my Presidentís Award at Honors Day 2005 earlier this month, is one shining example of the world-famous College of Music and one of the many extensions of our unique UNT brand.

The Green Brigade works diligently to promote the Mean Green athletic program and performs at many other community events such as the opening of the new Dr Pepper site in Plano. The Green Brigade also records and releases a compact disc of season highlights every two years.

The students prepare their music and marching outside of class, spending more than eight hours practicing before each game. They memorize multiple shows, accompany the dance team, assist the cheerleaders and welcome the football team at their games.
