The online voting for the 2005 Homecoming theme ended with a clear frontrunner. In all, 1,571 ballots were cast.

The winning theme – North Texas "Hold 'em" - Play to Win – snagged 559 of the ballots cast.

The other suggested themes were:

  • Mean Green Time Machine – 394 votes
  • Mean Green Magic – 380 votes
  • A Hero's Homecoming – 230 votes

Eight blank ballots also were submitted.

Be sure to mark your calendar with the Homecoming date of Oct. 29. The Mean Green will take on the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Whether the theme you voted for made the cut or not, we hope you’ll come join us at this year’s Homecoming festivities.
