Thomas Haden Church recently was honored as best supporting actor by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association for his role as Jack in Sideways. He also was nominated for a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award and an Academy Award. The actor is best known for his role as Lowell Mather on Wings. He also starred in the movie George of the Jungle and on the Fox television show Ned & Stacey.
Norah Jones once again took the world by storm when she released her second album, Feels Like Home. The album has been nominated for four Grammy awards, including Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Sunrise,” Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Country Collaboration With Vocals for “Creepin’ In” with Dolly Parton. In addition, she’s nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for the duet “Here We Go Again” with Ray Charles, which was featured on his Genius Loves Company album. Her first album, Come Away With Me, earned eight Grammy awards at the 2003 ceremony.
Bill Moyers, a television journalist and press secretary for President Lyndon Baines Johnson, recently received the 2004 Global Environmental Citizen Award from the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School. Moyers also has served as a former chief correspondent for CBS Reports and senior news analyst for CBS News.
