Athletics announces Fall 2007 football schedule; season tickets for sale now

From InHouse, UNT's faculty and staff news source

President Bataille met Sam Dibrell (left) and Giovanni Vizza at her inaugural tour alumni reception in San Antonio. Both young men have signed letters-of-intent to play football at UNT in Fall 2007. Dibrell was a wide receiver at Alamo Heights High School and Vizza was a quarterback. Both were recruited by UNT's new head coach, Todd Dodge.

Todd Dodge, head football coach, will lead the Mean Green out against Oklahoma Sept. 1 for the first game of the 2007 season.

UNT then will play SMU Sept. 8 before playing Florida Atlantic for its home and conference opener at Fouts Field Sept. 22. Other highlights include a game against Navy at Fouts Field Nov. 10.

Read more about the upcoming season from the Athletics Department news release.

To prepare for his first season, Dodge set a spring practice schedule that includes two scrimmages and one game. The scrimmages are set to be played at 3:30 p.m. March 30 and April 13, while the game is set for 3 p.m. April 22 in Fouts Field. The Mean Green also will present a clinic April 4 and 5 and will hold an open house for High School coaches April 11.

Season tickets for the 2007 football are now for sale, and faculty and staff may purchase season tickets for half price.
