The answer is c. During a campus election, students chose the high-soaring eagle over the lion and the dragon as the new school mascot for North Texas State Normal College in 1922. After selecting the mascot, students later decided on a name. “Scrappy” first appeared at sporting events in the 1960s. The students changed his name to Eppy in the 1970s, and it was changed back to Scrappy in the 1990s.
