Katie Wendling
Katie Wendling, a kinesiology major, has been named a 2012 Undergraduate Scholar by the American Kinesiology Association.
The annual AKA Scholar Awards recognize undergraduate students on a national level for distinctive academic and leadership accomplishments. Wendling, who has held a 4.0 GPA throughout her four years at UNT, is a member and officer of UNT's Pre-Physical Therapy Club, and has played intercollegiate soccer.
"This award adds credentials to my resume," Wendling says. "UNT has a strong kinesiology program, which has prepared me well."
Wendling, a May 2012 graduate, plans to work toward a doctoral degree in physical therapy. She hopes to work in pediatrics and eventually open her own physical therapy practice.
