UNT makes The Princeton Review's "Best in the West" list again
From a UNT News Service press release
|
UNT has once again been named as one of the best colleges in the West by The Princeton Review, a New York City-based, national education services company.
This is the fourth consecutive year The Princeton Review has listed UNT as a leading Western university.
Robert Franek, publisher and senior vice president at The Princeton Review, says this year's "Best in the West" colleges were selected among hundreds of others mainly for their excellent academic programs.
Other criteria used in the selection of the schools were:
- Institutional data collected directly from the schools
- Yearly visits to the campuses, recommendations from college counselors and advisors
- Opinions of the Review staff
- Students' assessment of their campus experiences from an 80-question student survey
The Princeton Review named 121 institutions to its "Best in the West" section on its website at "2012 Best Colleges: Region by Region."
