Personal Training

Our certified personal training staff is dedicated to providing each client with a customized fitness program that addresses their specific needs and interests. Our personal trainers can assist clients in enhancing their fitness level, while our private consultations help to develop an understanding of a client's exercise and fitness goals. Our staff combines the latest research in the exercise science industry with proven techniques in order to provide client's with safe and effective workouts. Each session is one hour and must be used by August 8.

Fitness Start Up

This package is designed for beginners as a starting point to a new fitness program. It includes three sessions: resting metabolic rate (RMR) test, fitness assessment, and one 1-hour personal training session. Additional sessions may be purchased.

All Semester
$60 Students; $80 Members. Sign up in the Rec Sports office.

Fitness Assessments

Fitness assessments provide information needed to develop reasonable and attainable fitness goals. The results of a fitness assessment can provide you with information useful in making possible lifestyle decisions.

Personal trainers conduct a number of tests including blood pressure, hand grip, height, weight, body composition, cardio-respiratory, flexibility, Reebok crunch, push up, muscular strength and muscular endurance to provide a starting point to your fitness path.

Assessments can be personalized to meet your fitness needs and take about an hour. Fitness Assessments are available to students ($24) and Rec Center members ($30) only.

Body Composition Testing

Certified trainers will measure your ratio of lean body mass to fat body mass using a skinfold caliper. By appointment only. Students and Rec Center members only for $10.

Fitness Clinics

Each month, Rec Center personal trainers host free presentations that focus on a wide range of health and body topics. You'll receive informational handouts and exercise suggestions to help improve your fitness levels and add variety to your exercise routines.

Weight Room Services

Need help getting started in the weight room? Weight room supervisors are always on hand for free weight room orientations designed to introduce you to the machines and equipment available for use. Weight room supervisors can also act as spotters for weight lifting. Weight belts, various cable attachments, and smaller weight increments may be checked out at the weight room desk.
