How to Enter an Intramural Activity

  1. START at the Recreational Sports Office located in Room 103 of the Pohl Recreation Center (RC) before the deadline date.
  2. Request an information sheet on the sport of your choice, or print out the Intramural Sports/Team Entry Form, check the flier rack near the front door, or see any staff member at the front desk. If you are entering a team sport, request a league schedule with available times and days.
  3. Request an entry form and fill it in completely.
  4. Turn in the completed form and roster with your name, address, and phone number, accompanied by any necessary fees, to the office staff member. All entry fees must accompany your entry form. There are no refunds unless the event is cancelled. Checks are made payable to UNT Recreational Sports.
  5. Attend the team Captains meetings which are scheduled after the deadline for the sport. Plan on attending or having a representative attend so that you don't miss out on valuable information, such as rule changes. Schedules will be distributed as well.
  6. Pick up any schedules or other materials necessary for your participation. Check in with the office for any additional information.
  7. Individuals who are new to the campus and want to participate but do not know to get started can use the Free Agents procedure. Becoming a Free Agent will assist new and transfer students with getting involved in their sport of choice. At the beginning of each team sport, the Assistant Director and staff will conduct a meeting of all individuals who are Free Agents. From this meeting, Free Agents will be grouped together into teams which are entered into the sport. A list of meeting dates and times is available in the calendar, or check with the Recreational Sports Office for more information.
