University of North Texas Parking Rules and Regulations
6.5 Parking Lot Enforcement
- 6.5.1 Student parking lots are enforced when school is in session (see also 8.16).
- 6.5.2 Faculty/Staff parking is enforced when the university is open (see also 4.10).
- 6.5.3 Yellow curbs, handicap spaces, fire zones, motorcycle and bicycle zones are enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- 6.5.4 Spaces with marked time limits are enforced from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
- 6.5.5 Service Vehicle Spaces are enforced 24 hours, Monday through Friday, with a valid UNT permit required from 10:00pm to 7:00am.
- 6.5.6 Trucks, Vans, Sport Utility Vehicles, and Jeeps are not allowed to park on Highland Street from Avenue C to Welch Street.
- 6.5.7 Meters are enforced 7:00am to 10:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, except university holidays, or as otherwise posted.
- 6.5.8 Reserved "A" Spaces are enforced M-F 7:00am to 5:00pm when the university is open. Vehicles in these spaces must display the correct permit for the space during these times/day or they are subject to impounding.
Non-permit Alternative Parking
- Meters are available on West Sycamore St., just North of the Rec Center.
- Fouts Field is free after 5pm, Monday through Thursday, and after 3pm on Fri.
- Any street, lot or metered area (except R and the handicapped parking spots) after 10pm is free.
- A G Permit can be purchased.
