The Student Activities Center staff is here to provide students with the resources, services, and advising to operate student organizations. Our office also chairs many of the major campus events such as the Mean Green Fling, etc. The offices of Talons, NT40, Graduate School Council are also located in our suite.
Where are we located?
The Student Activities Center is located on the third floor of the University Union in Suite 320.
Mission Statement
The Student Activities Center, as a full partner in the educational mission of the University of North Texas, provides experiential learning, leadership development, and personal development for students.
Student Activities promotes a sense of community and loyalty to the University, while serving to enhance the social, intellectual and developmental growth of students as individuals or as members of organizations.
By engaging members of the University community in collaborative efforts, Student Activities nurtures citizenship, leadership, and community, while striving to assist in the holistic development of students.
Vision Statement
The Student Activities Center will strive to be the premier program and involvement resource by offering services and activities critical to the holistic development of students. SAC staff will also serve as expert professionals regarding traits and trends regarding students' involvement in co-curricular activities and student organizations at the University of North Texas.
Statement of Purpose/Philosophy
Student life is not only an integral part of the campus community at the University of North Texas, but is also a fundamental part of the educational process. The Student Activities Center provides learning opportunities for students to enhance their overall educational experience through their involvement in student organizations and with programs sponsored by the office.
To achieve this mission, our philosophical foundations are:
- To enhance discovery of intellectual knowledge through direct application.
- To support students in their self-directed activities and events organized by and for students.
- To be a student-centered office where we provide a balance between challenge and support.
- To foster the personal growth and development of individuals through the intentional integration of learning experiences.
- To support leadership, social, educational, and cultural development opportunities, and other educational endeavors.
