Programs
The Student Activities Center coordinates programs geared toward nontraditional students. The office sponsors National Non-Traditional Student Week events each fall, evening events where nontraditional students can get snacks and information, and family-friendly events such as Family Weekend and Boo Bash. Family weekend is filled with fun activities that appeal to all age groups. From pep rallies, tailgating, breakfast with the president and cheering on the Mean Green football team, there is something for everyone.
A monthly newsletter is also e-mailed which features useful information and upcoming events. Also, if you're interested in joining the Nontraditional Student Organization please contact the Student Activities office at (940) 565-3807 for more information.
Non-Trad Week
National Non-Traditional Student Appreciation Week, held every first week of November, is a full week of programming directed for Non-Traditional Students and their supporters. During this week you can find events like "Student Service Breaks", "Grab and Go Breakfast", and our "Non-Trad Mixer".
Student Service Breaks
A Student Service Break is a program that gives students the ability to acquire information about the many offices and services provided by our University. By setting up in various locations on campus, these Student Service Breaks assist students, especially Non-Traditional ones, who are commuting between classes, work, and other commitments.
Family Weekend
Whether you are a new student experiencing UNT for the first time, an upperclassman or a non-traditional student, we encourage you and your family to participate in Family Weekend. The weekend is filled with fun activities that appeal to all age groups. From pep rallies, tailgating, breakfast with the president and cheering on the Mean Green football team, there is something for everyone.
