On the Rocket/Family campout, we camped at Johnson’s Branch on Lake Ray Roberts.  On Saturday morning we drove out to Harpool’s Ranch to shoot off rockets.  Luckily we didn’t have any fatal rocket crashes, just a few misfires.  After eating a hearty lunch of KFC chicken and Dr. Pepper, we jumped around on the hay bails for awhile.  All in all it was a fun trip for everyone.

The Y2K caving campout was a bit wet and foggy but we had a great time. I was tenting with the new addition to our troop and our Patrol Jeremy Hefner.  We went to our service project that we had to do before we could go to the cave.  We had to cut down all the little and growing Juniper trees.  Then we had lunch at the picnic tables below were we worked.  That afternoon we headed to the Cave we had to hike to it but it was worth it.  Then we took a dark, smelly, and dirty tour.  There was not a person that wasn’t dirty.  That night we had a big storm come through and Jeremy and I got wet in his somewhat old tent.  Sunday morning we got up packed up ate and had chapel service at the calcite spot (The Fray Field).
