Boy Scout Training Materials

Overview

The following files are a collection of training documents that may be useful to other Boy Scout Trainers. Some I have created, but others are documents that I have found elsewhere that I feel could be valuable to Boy Scout Trainers. The Document List below points to files on my web site, and your browser SHOULD offer to download or save them to your local machine.

Copyright Notice

Although some of my documents are marked with copyright dates to note when they were created and modified, they may be reproduced for use by Scout Trainers or incorporated into handouts without further restrictions. They do, after all, make liberal use of BSA clip art and insignia files that are freely available on various ftp sites. They are not intended or approved for inclusion in someone else's publication if it is to be produced for a profit.

Document Formats

All of my work lately is being done in Office XP but most of the files on this site were done in Office 2000 and/or Office 97, and are only provided in those formats. Since Office 97 files are binary compatible with newer versions, this should be less of a problem than it was in the past.  NEW files are done in Office XP (2002) but are probably readable in Office 2000 or Mac.

All of the larger files were zipped up to PKZIP 2.0 specifications or higher.

I sincerely hope that you will find some of this material useful in your own preparations for training. I would be very glad to get any feedback (preferably constructive) from you on the content of these files. I am always looking for ways to improve the training that I deliver to other Scouters.
