potential for success as an information professional. Print and fill
out the recommendation forms and give them to your recommenders, with
pre-addressed stamped envelopes to the School of Library and Information

When the above four items to the
graduate school and the three items to SLIS have been received at SLIS,
your application will be considered complete and SLIS will make a decision
regarding your admission for the following semester or the semester you

SLIS
will contact you to inquire about your plans to enroll in the next
available core course.

You will be added on to an email
listserv through which you will receive regular information about your
cohort and Institute. Each Institute will also have a
Website where
the Institute details are posted.
-
Being
added to the email listserv means that we are holding a place for you in
the Institute, but you still need to register for the course and pay
your fees. Those who have been added to the email listserv will have
first priority when registering for classes. Other students will be
allowed to register as space permits or will be put on a waiting list.
-
If your
application is not complete, you will be notified in a letter from SLIS
of any outstanding items missing from your application.
-
Once you
have been accepted to the program, you will receive a letter that
includes an assignment to an advisor based on your intended program of
study.
-
In order to register, you will need
restriction codes from your advisor for the courses you are going to
take. Fill out an
online advising
memo and send it to your advisor to obtain the restriction codes.
