Seeking instructors of Sociology for Fall, 2008

The University of North Texas-Dallas announces openings, beginning Fall 2008, for three Assistant Professor positions. These positions are non-tenure track, but are renewable for up to five years.  Faculty holding these positions will be expected to teach four courses per semester and provide service to the university.  The specific qualifications for these positions are set forth below. Applicants should send 1) a curriculum vitae, 2) a statement of teaching philosophy, 3) copies of teaching evaluations and two syllabi, and  4) three letters of reference to:  Dr. Brenda McCoy, Search Committee Chair, University of North Texas – Dallas Campus, 7300 Houston School Road, Dallas, Texas, 75241. Qualifications for Assistant Professor Positions

    • PhD in sociology or related field
    • Teaching experience at the college or university level
    • Experience teaching multiple courses
    • Specific experience teaching statistics (one of the two positions)
    • Demonstrated track record of providing high quality instruction
