FACULTY SERVICES

The Survey Research Center offers several services to help faculty be successful in their research endeavors.  If you are writing a grant proposal that involves collecting information from small, medium or large populations, SRC can help you design the approach and can collect the data on your behalf.  Contracting with us to collect your data frees up your time for teaching and scholarship.  Using SRC can also lend strength to your proposal since we have a track-record in collecting data for a wide varied of applied projects.  SRC staff is eager to help you when you are in the proposal-writing phase and is also available once your grant has been obtained.

We can help you in any or all of the following stages of your research project:

Research design
SRC can help you design the project within your anticipated budget.
Instrument design
SRC can help refine a questionnaire developed by the PI or can take an active role in questionnaire development.
Sample design and selection
SRC will recommend a sampling design that best reflects the target population.
Data collection, entry and analysis
Projects can be administered by means of a mail, telephone, or face-to-face methodologies.  The data are then entered and analyzed using the latest versions of appropriate computer software or provided to the PI for analysis.  Reporting capabilities are also available as an optional service.

Pilot Study Data

SRC conducts an annual survey of 1,200 Metroplex residents.  Faculty can purchase time on the questionnaire to collect data that may be used for a pilot study to support future grant applications.  The data may also be used for publications or conference presentations.  Data can be collected for as little as $1,500.  Send Paul Ruggiere an e-mail for more details.
